Plaid

With this current work both my paternal and maternal histories and their combined cultures to produce a series of low-relief sculptures i call Plaid.

While these works will all reference heraldic, celtic and historic elements, they represent much more than that. They are part of a historic cultural journey. Plaid is a respectful homage to those pioneer migrant families in rural victoria who helped establish the various communities in the Campaspe region.

These works are inspired by anglo-celtic plaid designs that represent my personal family history. They include Italian, Scottish and Irish connections from the 1860s to the present day.
