Notturno 3

During my night-time excursions, I experienced many things. The discovery of skink and gecko eggs at night was somehow more exciting than a daytime detection – look, leave, record. The sounds of the night are somehow heightened and amplified. Moths drawn to my spotlight and flapping in my ears - a soft, but almost disturbing fluttering. Beetles crawling actually make a sound on certain surfaces – who knew? The galaxies above humming to a cacophony of sound and the cosmos spiralling in the near total darkness of my tiny studio block.
