Notturno 5
When I first started to plan this sculptural undertaking, I wondered whether a tiny 0.202 of a hectare was enough to provide visual and experiential subject matter for its successful completion. I needn’t have worried as this small plot offered an incredible variety of species and encounters over a period of approximately three years. From bugs and beetles with massive wings that buzzed away into the darkness, cocoon casings erupting from the ground and crickets disappearing into the cracked landscape. Dull Moon and distant planets provide scant light and wonderful distractions.
