Notturno 8

Producing objects which are representative of a certain event or thing from memory necessitates the acquisition of certain abilities. These include the ability to gather relevant resources and speed of fabrication. An arachnid spinning its web means rapid leg and body movements, so the representative piece needs to incorporate the illusion of these kinetic elements. The sound of a distant hooting owl combined with the buzzing sounds of beetles in flight can be condensed into simple wing forms, thereby amplifying the overall nocturnal dynamic. Similarly, the same principal applies to those introduced predatory species such as cats and foxes – a highly polished bone fragment is easily recognisable as a carnivore tooth.
